So...What is the challenge you ask? Well it's a nice and easy one!  It's a color challenge, so basically anything goes theme-wise as long as you stick to these colors: Red, Brown, Green, and Yellow. You may also use a tiny bit of black and white if neccessary. Can't wait to see what you create!

Operation Write Home

Operation Write Home is an organization that sends blank handmade greeting cards for all occasions to deployed service members to write home on. They’ve mailed approximately 500,000 cards so far—and are still going strong! Our challenge to you is to make cards to send to them for our nation’s heroes.

Please read the basic guidelines here; it’s important especially to remember that glitter is NOT allowed (it’s a safety hazard to our heroes), handmade cards only, and OWH needs A2 sized cards. “Operation Write Home” needs to be on the backs of your cards—it can be stamped, handwritten, or printed on labels. Please include a packing slip inside your box or envelope, and mail them to any of their shippers listed on the Mailroom page. In your package, you can also include notes written to a deployed service member.

This is a very special challenge at Pile It On this week. We are working alongside Operation Write Home to provide handmade cards for our troops overseas to send home to their loved ones. There are guidelines that you have to follow to make these cards so this week the team won't be showing their sparkle as glitter is a big No No but we still made some fabulous samples for you!
OWH accepts handmade cards only, and OWH needs A2 sized cards, but are especially looking for Birthday, Anniversary or Christmas cards at the present time so that is what we are asking you to make this week.
You will have two options you can either send the cards directly to OWH or you can send them my way and I will ship them all together to OWH.  (If you would like to mail them to me then send me an email to:   alidalis AT comcast DOT net (replace the AT for @ and the DOT for a "." and remove all spaces).
Please I do ask that you ONLY enter your entry in "inlinkz" if you are mailing your card.  From all the entries I will pick a random winner for a RAK.
